Overview of Panama Mission 2009

What We’ll Do: During August 1-9, thirty-four people from Covenant, First UMC, and other area churches are embarking on a mission to Panama. The group will work in the town of David, in the northern part of that country, to work among the Ngobe people group. A large number of team members will work to provide much-needed medical assistance. Others will assist in construction and Vacation Bible School. Watch a short 2009 video here of an Illinois church partnering with us in the medical clinic serving the Ngobe people.
Departure Time: 9:30am from Covenant UMC, and 5:30pm from Atlanta (eastern time), August 1, 2009

Prayer Concerns:
Ngobe Indians: Pray that the Ngobe would see Jesus through our missionaries
Church in Panama: Pray for the Methodist Evangelical Church of Panama and its leaders, and that it may be effective in winning Panama for Christ.
Effective Witness: Pray for our team members to have an impact, and that our team members themselves will be impacted
Specific Projects: Pray for the medical mission, construction, Vacation Bible School, and relationship-building

We all miss you soooooo much!! I can tell by the sound of your voice that you are where God needs you to be at this time. The boys spent the night last night- Teagan slept with Jesse and, of course, Logan slept with Daddy and me. Three to a bed gets kind of crowded! We are all praying for all of you that are ministering in each of your special ways. Like I told you before you got on the bus to begin this awesome new journey, I pray that you will receive many blesssings because I know that where ever you are you are a blessing! I LOVE you so very much and can’t wait for you to get home!
