International Mission Trips

Panama

Every summer, Covenant leads a medical misssion of 22 people to northern Panama. This team, composed of doctors, dentists, nurses, and other medical and non-medical volunteers, works on a remote Ngobe (pronounced No-Bay) reservation. Many of the Ngobe travel long distances on foot to meet our yearly team, and our team provides the only medical care that some people receive each year. Each year, Covenant conducts a drive to collect multivitamins, eyeglasses, and other supplies to be used in the clinic. To read the Panama Mission Blog, click here.

Testimony from one Panama team member:

"The Ngobe are beautiful people. After several years of coming to this location, they are like family. And we have formed a special bond over the years." Joan, who is in her 70's and fluent in Spanish, is not intimidated by the idea of traveling to a foreign country for mission work. She says, "Its better to wear out than rust out!" --Joan Collins

Peru

On October 9-17, Covenant will lead a mission trip to Peru to work with children and youth. This team, to be composed of 15 people, will conduct a VBS, sports club, Bible studies, and English classes. We will be joining the work of missionaries from The Mission Society, who have ongoing work in that region. This mission team is currently accepting applications for Covenant members who have a passionto work with children and youth.
