Our goal to is share the gospel of Christ through music and worship.
Music and Worship: Chancel Choir
This group sings on Sunday mornings at the 8:30 worship service. Rehearsal is Wednesdays from 7 pm - 8:30 pm in the Music Suite (Room 210 of the main building). Jeff Wickell is the director.
Music and Worship: Orchestra/Instrumental
Perform with an ensemble or alone with various adult, youth and children's groups. The orchestra rehearse once a month on Sunday evening and performs at least one Sunday a month at the 8:30 worship service. The orchestra also plays at special services during Easter and Christmas. Instruments used are: brass, wind, percussion, and strings. Jeff Wickell is the director.
Music and Worship: Children's Music Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to help with our preschool choir (ages 3-5) and as snack helpers. Children's choir is on Wednesday afternoons from 3:45 - 5:15 pm. Snack is served at 3:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers are needed to set up, serve or clean up.Contact Jeff Wickell or Gaye Choat.
Music and Worship: Handbells
PraiseRing is name of our youth handbell choir. This group rehearses on Wednesdays at 3:45 pm in the Sanctuary lobby. Jeff Wickell is the director.
Music and Worship: Drama/Choreography
At various times during the year, drama and choregraphy such as liturgical dance, may be incorporated in our worship services. If you are interested in participating or teaching these events, please contact Jeff Wickell.
Music and Worship: Pew Stockers (Sanctuary Care)
Each week volunteers are needed to stock the pews with pens, prayer cards and straighten the Bibles and hymnals. This task may be completed during the day prior to Sunday.
Music and Worship: Worship Visuals
Banners, altar arrangements, and other forms are visual arts are sometimes used in our worship services. We are always looking for creative people to enhance our worship atmosphere.
Music and Worship: Traditional
Volunteers are needed weekly (8:30 service on Sunday) as Ushers (distribute bulletins, attendance pads and offering plates), Lay Readers (read scripture during the worship service to the congregation) and for the Technical Team (work the sound board and the computer screens). These are scheduled quarterly on a rotation. Persons are also needed to coordinate our Acolytes (children who light the candles), and prepare and serve Communion on the first Sunday of each month. All team members are trained.
Music and Worship: Contemporary
Volunteers are needed weekly (9:45 service on Sunday) as Ushers (distribute bulletins, attendance pads, offering plates, and serve communion) and for the Technical Team (work the sound board and the computer screens). These are scheduled quarterly on a rotation. Persons are also needed to sing or play an instrument in the Praise Band. The Band is on a rotation schedule. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the Sanctuary and Sunday mornings at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.
Music and Worship: a new tradition service
Our newest worship service combines different styles of music such as hymns along with praise songs. An accoustic band plays each week along with several vocalists. Traditional elements such as The Lord's Prayer and Responsive Readings are incorporated in the worship service. Volunteers are needed weekly (11:00 service on Sunday) as Ushers (distribute bulletins, attendance pads, offering plates, and serve communion) and for the Technical Team (work the sound board and the computer screens). These are scheduled quarterly on a rotation. Persons are also needed to sing or play an instrument in the Praise Band. The Band is on a rotation schedule. Rehearsals are Sunday evenings at 5 pm in the Sanctuary.
